SAP/C.S. delete w/o block off plate

After using Martyn's tool I see that the tune I have has SAP/cold start disabled. Kassel told me they left this alone along with not turning off EGT monitoring and post cat o2 DTCs but this does not appear to be the case.
I don't mind, I get that its a pretty standard thing to delete these items in most tunes.
I've got a block off plate but havent put it on, what if any are the negatives of leaving the smog pump hooked up when the software doesn't communicate with it?

I don't believe there's any negatives. There is a check valve in the SAP that blocks exhaust flow. If you have the plate, I don't see a reason to not delete the hardware.
