    Lesjofor Springs, front riding high

Finished a suspension refresh with Koni yellows and added Lesjofors “OE” springs after seeing some corrosion on my stock springs. Had no interest in lowering the car, wanted to stay as close to stock as possible.

Since install rear height is perfect. Front still about 1/3-1/2” higher, has the Bilstein B6 look. Granted I added reinforcement plates and all new pads but front still seems higher than expected.

How long and how much settling would expect?

Anyone have experience with these springs? Seems to be great quality but very different from OEM, could be accounting for front height difference ?

Years ago I had an E83 X3 with a broken rear spring. Replaced both with Lesjofors along with all 4 shocks using Bilstein B4 and all new hardware. For some reason, the front was high--or the rear was low--and it never settled out. So, not sure if was a rear spring problem, or shock issue. I couldn't afford Genuine Springs at the time but would have chosen otherwise today if faced with the same issue.

Thanks. Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. Hard to find any info on these springs, but OEM springs were $$$. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

I’ll take some pictures and remeasure this evening after work.

Do you have a link to the springs you purchased?

Yeah, they are indeed for the M3.

I'd say the springs need more time to settle or they are not made to the exact specs as the originals. IIRC, the pre-ZCP cars had a lower ride height than the ZCP cars. I've come across quite a few used stock springs or full suspension low mileage and in excellent condition. Something like that would be another option to replace rusted stock springs.

19 inch rims….that’s a lot of settling that needs to take place

Yeah, I just remembered that someone else used that brand on an E30 325i and the ride height was quite a bit higher than stock. Skip to the end -

They don't seem to be made to factory specs.

                          Rally time.

I wonder if these were made to the specs of the stiffest and longest springs available for the E46 M3. Bummer, I was hoping these springs would be stock height or slightly lower.

Any pictures of the actual springs you received?

I don’t, I should have taken some side by sides with OEM.

I’ll leave them on the car awhile to see how much they settle and report back.
