    I would say yes.

I got one in the interests of head gasket longevity.

Yep I'm pretty sure you're right.

A search of the code suggests that it might have some very minor effects on things like accel enrichment, but the only other side effect I can see is you'll slightly more easily trigger a "cold start" when restarting the engine when it's warm, which is neither here nor there.

Can't see anything in the mixture path that is affected by TMOT once in closed-loop operation (at that point it's all ambient pressure and intake air temp (plus exhaust temp for the CSL)).

Not sure. I'd guess that it factors into the tune at least for emissions purposes which is why the engine with throw a code for a t-stat. I have an epic tune...I'd have to guess that it would not affect anything. I'm the wrong person to give a definitive answer.

This is in regards to a race car, 55C motorsport thermostat has the car running at 165F/74C in the mornings and I suspect in colder weather will go even colder. At warm-up idle it will only get up to 140F. Thinking about swapping back to 80C so the S54 doesn't drop below 175F/80C at full tilt.

I've been thinking about going with a smaller radiator and much bigger oil cooler or a non-M radiator and a full face oil cooler on the back. I think the OEM M3 radiator is too big for track use with the OE ducting and fans deleted. The most efficient setup is to stack the oil cooler behind the radiator, the colder t-stat would likely provide a significant benefit in that setup.

I always say "Every little helps" it will help to keep the radiant heat away from the block for sure.

I have done/tested every header coating on the market including Swain-Tech which I use only for look to be honest. Nothing
can beat heat shield or header wrap...I mean no coating in existence can get near to that efficiency.

If coating is a must, Swain-Tech is my choice over the rest. Also the silver header shield work very well as well with very clean look.

Thanks for your kind words. I have way too much on my plate with my current custom project, usually I wait till I get bulk
of parts to ship at ones, otherwise I will be at the post office every day....

I think you asked if I still have those for offer, yes still do.

    Regards,
    Anri.

Sits forward of your radiator so if it’s dirty or clogged it will restrict air flow and your car won’t cool as efficiently.
