I have the Esco ones. Who cares if they are $250, they are the best and most trustworthy I've found outside of a lift. I used to hate getting under the car and now I really don't mind. People spend many times that on mods but want to cheap out on such a safety critical item, makes no sense.

Having a jack stand fail is my absolute worst fear.
I have a set of Big Red 3 ton stands I’ve owned for over 10 years and used countless times. I’m considering replacing for peace of mind, due to age.
Are the Esco stand top of the line? I have Esco. They are $67 per on Amazon. Cheap investment for my life and safety.
Youtube DIYs and more
All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.
PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

Yeah looking at the price point on a lot of these "better" jack stands, making a pretty large dent into the cost of a quickjack system. If you have the space and can work some OT or save a little more, why wouldnt you just get the quickjack?
Wonder what im going to buy at HF with my recall money. Heard their ladders are affordable 😂

On the big jobs I still put a set of stands underneath when using the quickjack as an extra insurance policy, but I would get under there with the quickjack only long before I would do the same with just a set of stands.

Still iffy where you are supposed to jack from the rear. I don't want to jack on the Diff.DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram

That's why I am really considering these safe jacks. One day I will get a lift....IG: Khan_Art_
