Can someoen identify this CSL boot for me?

This boot is for sale locally, want to make sure it's worth the asking price, and unsure of the quality. Maybe someone can id it from the markings?

Think it's either an OEM or OG Vorsteiner trunk? If I remember correctly those also had the "Made in Italy" imprint due to being molded from the OEM one.

The numbers/ markings on it are from the genuine part. They just got duplicated as part of the molding process.

Unless they have an invoice, probably near impossible to tell where it came from. There are too many fiberglass replicas to count.

Here is a photo of my genuine trunk for reference

It's just a copy of an oe trunk, look on eBay. For $850 I'd look elsewhere

Seller said it’s lightweight, but the OE CSL trunk is far from light (25 lbs). So yeah, probably not genuine.

I've seen this pop up! It wasn't local enough for me to consider. Hopefully the fitment is good and things work out for you!

That trunk is going to need a lot of work to be fitted properly — none of the roundel plugs, key hole, lock mechanism, or trunk trim panel holes are pre-drilled/opened up for you like on higher quality trunks… make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into with that particular piece.

Thanks everyone for chiming in, based on your feedback, this trunk is not for me.
Really good catch Interlagos on things not being pre drilled, I can only imagine trying to line up a trunk that I’ve drilled myself.

Do the bolt holes for the hinge even have a threaded insert?

Agreed, that is not OEM. I thought the OE part had a grayish gel coat?

yep, the oe trunk i just received from schmiedmann is finished in a grey gelcoat and is pre drilled and threaded for hinges/trunk lining. It is also surprisingly heavy for a composite part.
