Was reading up on the LCI changes for the E46 M3, one of the changes noted an updated trunklid handle. What was changed here between earlier and later MY cars?

The PO of my car swapped the trunk lid for the LCI for some reason. I think it was in a small rear ender because one of my exhaust tips was dented as well. I've since put LED Taillights in and i def like it more than Pre-LCI
