    Anyone using Wilwood brakes?

There is lost of talk about Brembo, Stop Tech, AP Racing, and 996 conversions, but very little about Wilwood. Anyone have any experience with them?

Been running wilwood calipers on the front and rear of my e36m3 track car. They have held up fine so far (3+ years, >10 track days per year)
Wilwood has these kits available for the E46 M3:

Wilwood bolt-on big brake (bbk) conversion kits are designed to provide superior braking performance and a highly detailed appearance over a wide range of domestic and import applications. Ssearch for BMW M3 2001 - 2006

Thanks. Those are the kits I am looking at.

      Seems like we are neighbors.

I have a setup on my e36 M3, no complaints, but it's not used on track. Their marketing team isn't as good?

Indeed, theres lots of enthusiasts in the area. If you see a red E28 running around the area its probably me.

The replacement rings are quite expensive from Wilwood, would advise checking out Coleman racing or girodisc for cheaper alternatives.

I've noticed that the CSL videos i see usually have Wilwoods on them... just an observation.

IIRC Coleman are roughly half the cost

Don't get the UUC kit. I had one. I used the ZCP rotors and PFC DD rotors. That kit did not compare to my Stoptech BBK in anyway. I'm not sure if it was the caliper, rotor, or something that UUC did but it was not much of an upgrade from stock for track performance.

I was running the Wilwood superlites for my '95 M3, heavy track use and they never gave me an issue. Great company but their marketing team absolutely blows compared to everyone else. I guess they let their products speak for themselves.

I have the ones linked above and have zero complaints about them. Great pedal feel, I prefer them over the 996 setup

Willwood makes many different calipers, from entry level to high end.

They're lower end stuff is OK, not great, but good enough, especially for the price.

You know what you just brought back a memory, the pedal feel WAS actually amazing and predictable. I have the Brembo GT's on my car right now and I'm not overly impressed, I think I may have to bleed them again though, search for that Wilwood feel.

The pads are the most important part, so look at what pads you can get especially on a street driven setup as it may be sub optimal

with the extra weight and the need of spaces, might as well keep the stock setup with a refresh

I think most Wilwood calipers have a really good pad selection
