    Fittment issue with magnaflow header-back

I googled and researched the forum and didn't see anything, excuse me in advance if I missed something already posted.

I recently installed the Magnaflow catback system (there's only one I believe), and there is about 1/8 inch (or less) spacing between the pipe and the triangular brace (v-shaped brace) in the rear. Those who know will know, I will post photos when I get the car back on the ramps - but it's easy to imagine. Strangely only one of the two pipes has this problem, the other one has a 3/4 - 1 inch of clearance.

The rear end has a noise of something hitting in the back over bumps and I suspect this is it (I have not found a way to verify, I might put a piece of silicon to act as a bumper and see if the noise goes away).

Did anyone struggle with this fitment, and has experience? What could I have done wrong / missed during the installation?

    Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, I had read that one. Not sure how I feel about some silicone on my track car's exhaust, but that may be a last resort.
