Thanks For this! I am In Australia and sources are limited to the dealer, with 4 to 5 week wait times on non stocked items
eBay is good, though the shipping, tax and duty is a bit of a worry
Will be going through all the above listed now, awesome info !!
What about Pelican Parts ?
How do FCP make money if they offer free returns / free replacement ? never heard of any business doing that here in Australia ? Would be interested to know that's all ! thanksLast edited by BL92; 09-05-2024, 01:30 AM.

The warranty on parts is non-transferrable. So if you sell your car with a bunch of FCP parts on it, they can no longer be returned (unless you do the returns for the new owner of the car, which is very unlikely). Its a marketing device, people are more inclined to buy parts from FCP because of the lifetime guarantee, but most people won't actually go through a returns process. FCP crunched the numbers and they get more sales because of it then they lose on providing free replacement parts.Originally posted by BL92 View PostHow do FCP make money if they offer free returns / free replacement ? never heard of any business doing that here in Australia ? Add me to the list of FCP Euro. The lifetime warranty is worth it for people keeping their cars. Prime example, I bought a fender liner replacement because mine was old and cracked, while driving home from installing that liner I hit some tire debris and ended breaking the brand new liner. I am now getting an brand new liner for free instead of paying almost $200 for a new liner and porkchop. Honestly, definitely worth the additional cost.
I am also glad ECS is offering that lifetime warranty. You think FCP Euro is tough with their returns, I can't image what dealing with ECS will be like. Hopefully it will ease return abuse from FCP and make it easier for the rest of the enthusiasts.
