Convertible suspension kit for spirited road only usage

I am currently on Ohlins but to gain ride height i had to get some springs with a higher spring rate. The high speed compliance is great but low speed is very crashy.

I have CSL hubs, TMS top mounts and the Ohlins damper collars.

Does anyone know of a suspension kit where the spring platform can be moved up or down to alter the car's ride height without effecting the spring compression?

Spring compression (aka spring preload) doesn't exist. Something like Fortune Auto/BC/ISC coilovers have independent spring preload and ride height adjustments but its to reduce the cost to manufacture, its not a performance benefit.

This week on FM Live, our resident suspension guru, Keith Tanner, talks to us about suspension preload and the nuances of coilover suspension for our favori...

All good but because the springs are compressed to gain ride height so spring travel length is lost.

The ride is also compromised because of the higher spring rate springs i had to fit.

Are there any kits that offer electronic control of damper rates?

Ohlins make a strut spacer for the front that will raise the ride height with the original Ohlins springs (or softer rates).

This is a throwback, but Tein might still make the EDFC module that was compatible with their coilovers and it allowed you to change the damping on the fly.

ModBargains.com offers EDFC TEIN Electronic Dampening Force Controller and much more for sale. Shop online or order today at 714-582-3330. In Stock, Ready for Fast Shipping.

Thanks, i think i have them already. Are they a damper collar with a slight notch, about 20mm high?

Yes, they are 20mm. Those should get the front ride height up to 14".
