What do you guys use for baby seats? Not necessarily for the m3 but have a kid on the way and looking for options from like minded people. Thanks.

congrats and good luck!
we started off with the Nuna Pipa system. having a base that stays in the car and a separate stroller base that you can easily click the car seat into without having to belt/unbelt the kid is wicked convenient for around town and road trips. air travel is a diff story, we found that it's best to just leave all that at home, rent a car with car seats and bring along a smaller travel stroller.
as our kid got older/bigger we bought multiple Graco seats (make sure you get the slim models) whenever they went on sale and distributed them between the inlaws car and ours (including the M3) to avoid having to constantly transfer seats (cheaper seats for bigger kids = heavy/bulky)
rinse and repeat if you dare have more offspring

When my daughter was an infant, we used the Chicco Keyfit system. Got multiple bases for all the cars and the stroller, and just click in the seat.
We also got a Keyfit adapter for BOB jogging strollers, but it looks like that has been discontinued.
We were really happy with the Keyfit, but had to switch because she outgrew it.
We then got Recaro seats, but there was a (questionable) recall, so Recaro got mad and stopped selling kid seats in the US. So we then got Britax seats, which she's still using now.

We just had our first, he is 4.5 months now. We use the doona stroller which collapses into a seat and attaches to a base in the car. It can also be used without the base with a standard seatbelt. It is huge. It is also very convenient for quicker trips. Just collapse it, put it in the seat and go. The stroller itself is not the best so for longer walks around the neighborhood we have the uppa baby vista.

Nuna Pipa. Having the detachable seat that clips right in to the stroller is wonderful. We used that until about 9-10 months until the little dude outgrew it. I never used it in the M3 but it was great in the X3M.

Some of the above recommendations are portable 'seats' which clip onto in-car base and/or stroller frame - this is only for 0-6 months or so. There are many brands to choose from but they are all very similar. The kid will outgrow this set-up at around half a year old at which point you'll need a proper seat and my recommendation is Diono Radian 3R - it's a very sleek, compact unit and not bulky like many others. At first, you'll have the seat rear facing (until the kid weighs 20lb or more) and this config eats up the most space for the driver or passenger in front. Diono sells an optional angle adjuster (foam wedge) to help with front seat leg room - see link below. Once the kid is 20lb+ (roughly around first birthday) the seat can be moved to front facing and you'll get all your legroom back.
The Radian® 3R is the original 3 Across All-In-One™ convertible car seat. Shop all of our car seats and car seat accessories today.
