Feels so good to be back in a E46!!

    Hello all,

It has been 8 years since my last E46 M3. There wasn't a day that went by that I yearned to be behind the wheel of one. I owned 2 e46m coupes previously. I wasn't really looking for a vert but this popped up locally. It has been growing on me and I have been putting the top down any chance I get. Can really appreciate the "rasp" and raw noises with the vert. Owning a e36m and e92m, the e46 platform is by far my favorite. Very well balanced M in every way!

First set of mods have already begun: paint matched front bumper reflectors and a set of Apex ARC8s since I could not find OEM ZCPs. If anyone is selling a set, let me know!

Look forward to being on here with you all! 🙏

Congrats! Yes it's a different car with the top up, and to me it's like "why???"

I am leaning towards exhaust and in the near future a manual swap!

Congrats, DrM3. What's your take on vert vs. coupe having driven both trims? Have considered getting a vert to daily.

I'll chime in as I have driven both. The vert as a daily or weekend car is great. However, there is absolutely no doubt, none, that a coupe is much more fun. The extra weight and loss of rigidity will immediately be noticed by a long time coupe owner. I love my vert but it isn't the car the coupe is so don't expect it to be.

For background, I only drive my car on rural roads on sunny days plus I'm FI (supercharger). Given what I do and how I drive my car I really enjoy it. On my twisty roads the extra grunt coming out of corners is very nice and then I can stomp on it and let the supercharger do its thing when I hit the occasional straight sections

The older we get, the more verts appeal. Congrats and enjoy in good health
