Your going to pay a customs fee if the item's value is over $800. The fee is not much, I think it's like 4 or 5%...

👍 The $800 limit is accurate USA import law. The fee is dependent on the product type and country of origin; but again 4-5% is pretty accurate for the types of countries you'll generally deal with that don't have a FTA (free trade agreement) in place with USA.

The fees of 4-5% that I mentioned were on imports from EU countries. Your customs notice shows that your order was from Australia, which may have different custom duty fees from EU countries.

I paid $70 for customs on my CSL trunk. Far less than 10%.
It was a much better deal than ordering from Turner. Still waiting for my CSL trunk liner from Turner, if I had known it'd take this long I would have ordered everything through Schmiedmann.
