Front ZCP competition wheel 36112282895 NLA?

called my local dealer with the part# 36112282895 and they told me they were NLA in the system. only the rear wheels were available.

checked around ebay and other sites online and no one has them. turner/ecs shows some scratch and dent

ECS does show 36112282895 available but not directly... from a supplier and wouldnt ship for a few days.

i took a chance and ordered 4 front wheels (i need 2 for my red sedan and 2 for my wagon)

i dont know why im surprised. i guess i was hoping they wouldn't be NLA yet.

They went NLA in Europe around April.
BMW NA had stock that lasted until around a month ago.

Knew I should have bought some a while back, I like my reps but the real deal just looks so good.

I was monitoring it, around this time last year there were 600 of them left, I might have been responsible for buying the final few myself...

this is what BMWPartsNow told me 12/12/2023

"BMW currently has 63 of the 895 wheel in the US with over 150 more in Germany and 30 of the 999 wheel in the US with over 1000 in Germany.."

I guess the fronts sold out really quickly wow

Maybe I am remembering wrong... I thought there were definitely more than 150 in Germany at that moment in time, I remember around 550-600, oh well, doesn't really matter.

Well hell. I ordered (back-ordered) two rear 19" Style 67s hoping the order fills instead of a ZCP/comp set as my two rears need replaced. I guess I'll go aftermarket if stock wheels for this thing are going out...

FWIW, I think BMW is intentionally running a lean inventory on certain parts. Hard to imagine something like this is NLA forever, likely just for now. Still, this is a disappointing trend.

Nissan seems to be “perfected” this approach. They manufacture Skyline parts in batches every 12-18 months. It’s as if they are playing a game of automotive hot potato and don’t want to get stuck with any inventory when the music stops. It’s annoying, but the parts come back in time.

I’m sure BMW is on the phone with BBS ordering up a batch of wheels. Could be 100; could be 1000. Time will tell.

Only Porsche seems to have total confidence in its buyer pool such that any/all parts for a 1968 911 or a 1982 944 are readily available for purchase.

Does appear to be NLA. Same thing happened with E36 Style 24 wheels.... still kicking myself for procrastinating and not ordering a second set.

I think this is wishful thinking on your behalf, the last stock of these wheels were all timestamped 2013, they have not been produced in over a decade, the tooling and molds likely are not there anymore.

The part number has been ended in BMW systems, I doubt it will ever be produced again.
It is up to the aftermarket now to create perfect replica's.

Man.. I remember just a few years ago (or at least it feels that way) you could get a complete set of brand new ZCP wheels for 1600 shipped from getbmwparts.com and that seemed expensive to most people.. lol

Are the rear wheels being restocked?

Nope. They just haven’t run out yet. 700 rears left in Germany.
I assume the front wheels just get damaged more in the real world and therefore ran out faster than the rears, that is of course assuming they both started out with equal levels of stock.

This is true. The set I got in December were stamped 2011 and 2013.
