You can pipe into the air rail and more by hooking up to the small port on the backside of the air rail, just look on the rear most left side while facing the engine.
You can also test from where the rubber line connects to it, will have a permanent style clamp on it unless modified so be prepared for that.

Do you mean the vacuum port for the fuel pressure regulator line?
Is there any particular make of smoke tester to go for?
