    Oil temp with E-fan

    Hey Fellas,

So I'm still trying to adjust this new to me efan setup... but now running into an issue.

So the oil doesn't seem to be getting up to temp fully (or to 200 degrees like I'm used to with the fan clutch. The fan seems to turn on and cools EVERYTHING down.

is this temperature safe to drive aggressively on? I know it's 46 degrees outside, but I've never had this issue before on the oen setup.

The fan would not really change the oil temperatures in the car. The oil cooler sits below the radiator, so the fan would not improve air flow through it. Even if this would be the case, the oil thermostat would simply redirect less oil through the cooler.
The oil temp display is not entirely trustworthy, since the cluster has some weird logic in it that incorporates data from the cooling sensor and the outside temp sensor in this display. So in this case a better fan may have lower coolant temps and hence affect oil temp display.
Oil temp data sent by the same through can is more accurate.

Ignoring the above concerns, the temp displayed on your cluster should be good for pushing it.

Out of interest, what e fan setup are you running? Is it permanently on?
