I'm down if the imperfections are only in the coating and not the weave. Will the edges be trimmed to match an OE roof skin shape? Thanks!

Is there a listing for them? I feel like those doing a full M3 conversion would want one to eliminate the sunroof. Didn't most of the wagons come with a sunroof?

In the US sunroofs were an option for 2000-2002, 2003-2005 they were standard and there wasn't an option for without.

The regular 1x1 shouldn't have any weave distortion issues. The spread tow will very likely have weave issues.

The roof will be trimmed similar to the OE shape. There will be small bulges where the tabs are located on the roof - should make it a little easier to tape or bond the roof trim rails. Holes are drilled to clear the roof rack lugs. Still may require some very minor trimming.

And no holes or markings for the shark fin. So you'd have to manually located it and drill the holes.

I priced a steel roof on getbmwparts.com - $2400ish but only god knows how long it will take to get. Took me 9 months to get the coupe roof panel.

I have 4 so far. Someone is trying to bring a couple more to the table.

I will have to wait until Mid-Feb to start anyways - need it to be a little warmer here in SE TX.

I'm local, I'll take one when I'm clear on what needs to be done ($) to make it install ready.

Have paint shop clear coat roof then tow car to my garage for install. Easy.

                        Here's a list...is this what you need?

(Optional) Clear coat the roof ($200 - $300 guessing???)
R&R Windshield and Rear Window - costs around $300-ish. There is the risk of breaking in the glass. You will likely need a front and rear seal and maybe a windshield cowling.
Drill spot welds - need a drill, WD40 and and spot weld bit
Adhesive gun and adhesive - $100 on ebay - 3M 08115 Panel Bond seems to be easier since you don't need to prime the bare metal
Roof bow - $150ish? If you can wait a month, I can make a carbon version. Just buy the part and bring it to me, I'll give you a carbon part at no cost. Rivet or weld it.
Clamps - $70 from ebay or borrow them from someone.
                        Headliner - hard to find.

                          Thanks Jae. Sign me up.

I work closely with A&P Technology, they make some interesting braided cf products, may be able to source some if interested. Easy to form, stronger than woven

I've got a headliner, US spec, just need to get around to recovering it 🤮

Looks like SQ is offering up his skillset, so I'm good!

I am also interested in a roof, what would the potential time frame be for the deposit and then delivery? Zip is 61701

                            Thanks, Ty

I’ll post details early next week. Trying to see if I can get the costs down a little. I think I can. More to follow.
