Rear spring platform height adjustment

I don't have the centering cones or spring pad up top. Just a small carbon fiber reinforcement plate and a WD40 cap to keep the spring from falling out under droop.

So you used these with standard TCK 6.5" spring?Originally posted by bigjae46 View Post
I have the RE spring perch in anticipation of the FCM dampers. I used the TCK beehive spring and it works fine. I am at about 25" ride height with 275/40R17 tires so I am not very low.
I was wrong, these make small adjustments SUPER easy! Love them!
I just ordered a set of 5.5" eibach linear springs as mentioned a post above yours so I can get ~13.25 center cap to fender height which I cannot with the TCKs.
I have to lower the RE adjusters so much they contact the axle unfortunately.

Big Jae, re how they work, I envisage a big ball bearing, but I've never seen one disassembled. Clever product. I always seem to use 2.5" & 65mm rear springs so never considered them.

Eibach makes a 60mm non beehive 514lb/in spring in a 5.5 inch length. Eibach 140-60-0090. 2 inch block height so I wouldn't worry about spring bind or needing a beehive spring.Originally posted by Cubieman View PostWell I guess I am stuck with traditional adjusters until, TCK offers a 5.5" 500lb beehive spring but say it will bind on this chassis.
Maybe someday if I go to stiffer springs I'll be able to use these RE adjusters.
My BC's had 5.5" rear springs, they were swifts, I don't know the rate unfortunately but I'm sure it was significantly higher than 500lb.
I just don't care for the design of the TCK perches, they didn't machine a flat base on the bottom. So there is very little surface area on the control arm.
I may buy RE'S traditional style perches or maybe just some ebay ones, simple part.Last edited by moproblems; 04-10-2026, 06:07 AM.

Yeah, I have been looking at 5" springs as 5.5" are not so common.Originally posted by prostcfc View Post
I bought a MCS 1WNR kit from Bimmerworld and they sold me the RE perches and 5" springs. They work.
I would like to stay with a progressive spring if possible. Maybe I'll reach out to TCK and see if they have anything.

I had this all written on a piece of paper that I can't find, but I came to the conclusion they were 2.5 pitch. Pretty sure I even took out calipers to see. I reached out to RE a couple times over email but didn't get a response.Originally posted by Tbonem3 View PostWhat's the thread dia? Most are 1.5 but coarse at 2.5 starts with M18. Anyway, I adjusted today, and assuming a .63 motion ration in the rear, it's about 4 mm per turn, which correlates to roughly a 2.5 pitch. Good enough for me to get a swag. I know these are supposed to be used for corner balancing, but this at least gets me in the ride height ballpark in advance of doing that (I don't have scales).

The TCK springs I have are more or less 6&1/2" tall, what are people using using the RE perches running? A 5.5" spring would be ideal from what I can tell but that's not a very common size.

The RE's won't work with my TCK rear beehive style springs, I would have to run the mounts so low that the threaded rod touches the axle.
I have the "newer" RE's with a 14mm adjuster.

I have the Rogue ones. Nice product, but doesn't seem like I can raise them while on the ground with my super stiff Hyperco springs; otherwise adjustment is nice and easy.
Question - is the thread pitch on these 2.5mm? Trying to get a good approximation for ride height adjustment versus putting my finger in the wind.

I have a set of GC that were lightly used and the bearing froze just like Kaiv's video. Super disappointed. Bought used RE ones, older version and haven't had an issue since.
