That's where I got mine. No brainer IMO.

      Voltage regulator + 2 bearings is ~$100
I’m just gonna be totally honest here, I’d rather shell out another $150 for time saved. There are lots of other things I need to do with my time.

I might have to do this. I’m assuming the Bosch is the same?

Based on the Bosch reman unit having the Valeo housing and markings, my guess is Bosch is remanufacturing core return BMW/Valeo units, so it should be the same.

With a new one so cheap at RockAuto I also thought it was nobrainer. Only been a few months so can't comment on that front. Sure wish I had Valeo option for the M5.

There’s a guy on m5b that sells a rebuild kit (bearings and voltage regulator).

After I replaced my original, I'm wondering what to do with it. Been in the box in my parts "pile". I proactively replaced it, so it works; voltage was a little lower than the new one but high 13's if I recall. I hate throwing parts away for this car, but as stated, to rebuild it, I can just buy a new one and do something else.

Yea I have an older Bosch unit in my garage, and I'm about to pull another and replace it with a Valeo. Plus I have an 80 amp E36 Bosch I just swapped. If anyone wants some to rebuild LMK
