    The problem with the much deeper oil cooler is the efficiency gets worse as the air gets deeper into the cooler. The cooler will present more of a challenge to force air through. You'll need higher pressure air to enter the cooler. It still could work well enough to cool better.

    If you have hood vents, try taping a 1" high gurney flap in front. You'll get a LOT more extraction from the vents. I just tested this. I had a 1 inHG (I think...forgot which units I had set) improvement in pressure differential across the radiator with a gurney in front of the right hood vent. So I should get more with a gurney in front of the left and center vents. I could see a LOT more air coming out of the vents using wool tufts.
