Style 67 18" Shadow Chrome, NLA? Where to get?

Well, I had to put some new Pilots on my M, I took a recommendation on a new local tire shop that put tires on a close friend of mines R8, Gallardo, XK140, and 996TT with zero issues. Trusting his experience on those high end cars had my car in good hands. Sure enough, the "touchless" tire shop jacked both my front and rear drivers side rims. I mean, really bad, down to the metal of the rim. They were once absolutely 100% mint. I showed pictures of the mint rims to the tire shop explaining how they ruined my rims. They denied, denied, denied. Not worth a court battle at this point, but I am having trouble finding the original Style 67 18" rims brand new/mint condition. Are these rims NLA? I am not interested in the refinished rims at this point, because based on my experience of seeing refinished rims in person, they look nothing like the original shadow chrome. Apparently this is due to the amount of lead that Germany originally sprayed, but no longer able to spray today. There are certainly other rims that look good on the E46M platform, however, nothing quite hits as clean as the 18" Style 67 in original shadow chrome, in my opinion of course.

Any help/direction/experience would be greatly appreciated!

They are on ebay all the time. Might have to be patient to find a mint condition set, but that is what I would do.

They are NLA, front and rear. Probably won’t find them new anymore.

I would look into the E39 M5 community on m5board, they have figured out a few shops that are able to do the chrome shadow finish, probably your best bet.

Prince Wheel Service in NC does this finish properly according to E39 M5 owners.

I picked up my OEM rear wheels from Prince's Wheel Service down in Monroe, NC today. They look incredible. I took them a mismatched set of rear wheels I acquired from various members and Justin and the other guys there did an excellent job. They actually order the shadow chrome paint (with Lead)...

This is why you guys are awesome. Thank you so much for the refinishers information. I had no idea they were able to get ahold of the original paint. I will give it a shot. I appreciate you guys!

Jed Pineda (Einhorn) can also refinish them properly.

Prince Wheel does an okay job, but I refuse to use them anymore after the last four sets of wheels I sent them.

If you have seen a photo of ZCP wheels on their Instagram or website they were likely mine. The color match isn't the same as factory and they refused to try to paint match and said they only powdercoat which I agreed to since the wheels weren't in good shape anyway.

The wheels they refinished for me had dry spots where there wasn't enough clear and there was dust and hair in the clear. They told me to expect that and to wetsand the powdercoat and try to polish it..

I did contact Jed in the past couple years about having a set of E39 M5 wheels refinished, but after expressing my dissatisfaction with Prince Wheel he replied with a very curt email and didn't provide me with any more information about sending them wheels for repair. That made me believe they just send wheels to Prince for refinishing, but I don't know if that is true.
