    Eventuri Intake Scoop Tight Fit

Started installing the Eventuri intake today and ran into some difficulty fitting the carbon fiber scoop that fits into the brake duct. Despite watching several install videos, for my particular car, there seemed to be abnormally less clearance between the bumper and edge of the scoop while fitting it into place causing it to dig into the edge of the bumper and scuff up the paint. Had I known, I would have taped off the bumper edge to give some additional protection.

I did get the scoop to properly snap into place and the fitment is great once installed but a little bummed about the bumper getting scuffed.

Anyone else deal with an especially tight fit with the scoop for the Eventuri intake?

Mine was a bit tough to install too, not looking forward when I'll need to remove it lol

The fit on mine was tight as well. Definitely best to get your hand down there from the top side to pull it rather than pushing from underneath.

I also remember removing a brake duct hose or some other liner part that then allowed the scoop to snap into place. Even without this piece, it was very snug in there. Had a moment where I fully
committed to either completing the install or replacing a broken scoop.

Yea, its definitely hard to install these, I also remember taking a dremel to one of the corners so it didn't dig into the backside of the bumper.

Thanks guys! Making me feel a little less crazy as the FCP euro install vid made the scoop look relatively easy to seat without a ton of force and plenty of clearance with the bumper. I definitely had to give it quite a bit of force pulling up from inside the engine bay.

The dremel idea is smart. Wondering if there is a slight discrepancy in the carbon fiber dimensions between pieces. I’d also recommend taping off that edge of the bumper to protect against it digging in while seating the collar.

Curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see how difficult it was to remove the scoop. It actually isn’t too difficult. Just press down from the top of the collar while rocking slightly side to side. Took some force but eventually popped out without damage.
