Help with possible leak?

Noticed a smell coming from the rear of the car while driving so went and took a look, and found some fresh liquid on the piping and above it. Anybody have an idea of where the leak might be coming from?

And no idea why the photo is posting upside down.

What was the smell......... Sulfur type?

Honestly just smelled like something burning. I know it's not much help. Definitely not sulfur though.

I would park it overnight and try and catch it cold if possible. Id have my assumptions based on the location alone but don't want to assume anything. Hitting/cooking on a hot exhaust doesn't help either.

If its leaking under the diff, likely the output shaft seal on the diff. Could also be the pinion seal - need to look at the diff to locate the source.

There's not anymore leaks this morning so it seems to only leak when being driven.
