    Heat shield for passenger FCAB?

Is there some factory heat shield for the passenger FCAB, and is my car missing it? I replaced my FCAB this wknd and the passenger side TMS monoball FCAB plastic sleeve was melted, dont want the new offset poly one to disintegrate especially how theres hardly any airspace between the lollipop and header runner (not sure if that bend in the pipe was from previous owner install or header came that way). Im thinking the factory exhaust manifolds must have had some shielding and the previous owner who installed the headers tossed them. I

I’ve searched but can’t find any solid info on the factory shield and surprisingly there doesnt seem to be any aftermarket solutions for what seems like a common issue with bushings failing from the heat. I found this thread and pic of a members car seems like there was some factory shield there but not sure if it had to be removed for the headers install?
I recently installed some SSv1 headers and noticed that the top of the joint between the header and SS slip-on section 1 are basically touching the heat shield and do rattle on start. Has anyone found a fix to this such as removing the heat shield there and replacing it with foil tape or anything similar?

I also found that the Z4M does have a heatshield that goes over and covers their passenger FCAB, wondering if our cars did too or if not can maybe retrofit and use it?

Thanks George! I actually ran into this one during my reverse searching from the Z4M diagrams on realoem! And was eyeballing the pictures of it on ecstuning, just couldn't tell if it was the same and/or if it fit our cars. Now looking it up on the realoem E46 M3 diagram it looks pretty obvious in hindsight ha.

Thanks for this (and for the FCAB brackets!), looks like just need the #12 and #13 hardware and good to go. Would you happen to know if it can be installed without having to remove the aluminum brace plate with the 12 TTY bolts?

I think you are going to need to unbolt the FCAB to get it in there.
