    B&G Springs vs Eibach springs

Has anyone tried both these springs? B&G isnt common for e46 but great reviews on other bmw platforms. Will be running bilstein shocks. I have both sets of springs already but need to choose which to install or sell.

B&G have been around, they're fine, but options are limited depending on application. Eibach is very established and has pretty much every spec you'd need. B&G are usually black (well, the race coils, the lowering springs are red iirc) which isn't as fun a color for suspension parts as the red of Eibach maybe you'd say.

Are you talking about basic lowering springs to pair with stock like dampers i.e., bilstein b6 or koni yellow?

If so, then I'd need to see the spring rates and estimated drop from the B&Gs. The Eibachs are great, with good rate choice imo, but the drop in the rear is larger than the front for some reason.

The Eibach kit lowers front 0.9" and rear 0.6". Eibach had this backwards in the catalog for years until I corrected the specs before leaving in 2020.

Yea I have b8 and just found out the b12 kit uses eibach also. So I’ll prob go that route. Thanks for the detailed response. Ive read they drop more in the rear because naturally the front of the BMW’s are higher in the front to sort of even out the rake

Loved height of the Eibach springs. They just have to be paired up with the correct shocks. Mine used to crash out on larger bumps.

I had Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers for a couple years, it was awesome and perfect as a street / canyon setup, then I decided to ruin the car. Don’t be like me.
