LOL, you sound just like me. I ended up getting a coupe and convertible. Best of both worlds. Same mods minus the airbox. Cruising around no noticeable difference, only at limits or if you utility use of the rear seats and trunk which I have other cars for. If you a nice area of the country that doesn’t have a lot of cold weather, you can’t go wrong with a m3 convertible.

Any chance you could keep the convertible and get a coupe?

After owning a coupe 5 years ago and selling it and 5 years later getting a vert, I still think if I made the wrong choice. But the vert is special and and I think are super under appreciated/ undervalued nothing beats the sound of an s54 with the top down and when its time to be a "coupe" throw on the hardtop. Also it has 3 modes, vert, soft top, hardtop...

Verts make for great donor cars

            🤣

It really depends where you live too. In TX, its usually too damned hot most of the year.

I think what you have is fine for the purposes you use it for. It's still an M3 to me. Personally, verts scare the ever loving shit out of me and I wouldn't even drive in one, little less own one lol.

The weather the other day proved to me that I made the right decision of owning a vert. Popped the top off, picked up the kids from school and took a short but lovely drive to the beach.

i think the solution is to own both now hahahahahah

thanks for all the feedback gents.

Come up to Encino and drive my 6MT LSB coupe, then switch to my SMG Imola Red and then back to your vert, and see what you think.

You sir are truly living the dream

May take you up on that offer one day soon. Lunch on me!

since you basically have a daily, a vert and a show piece, what are your thoughts? You basically treat these cars like Pokémon! Gotta have them all!

I also have a vert (which I’ve decided to list for sale) and driving around with the top down has been fun, but it often just gets too hot during the day to drive on the days it makes sense to drive… night drives are definitely fun, but I found myself driving it with the hardtop 97% of the time.

                        Very nice! Definitely not Texas.

Like they say in the Lone Star State, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute.

                          Train em up right!!

You’ll be pleasantly surprised how they look back at these memories.

And they’ll probably own convertible sporty cars and relish taking them to the beach.

                          Cheers,

                          maw

I need to find a nice SMG vert to keep out in Cardiff, because I agree in CA, if you live on the coast, a vert is a big winner.
