How to remove vacuum sucking let line from brake booster?

I was replacing the entire line #9, but how on earth that hose connector was so stuck from the brake booster.

brute force straight pulling or prying with a flat head screw drive won't work, any suggestion?

I use a trim tool for that job, the Y shape type.

engine off, press on brake pedal 5 times to use up all vacuum -- you don't want to fight with it -- then just wiggle and pull. Put some silicone grease on the hose rubber end before install it back.

This method really works ! I just simply pry it off after stepping it a few times.
But when I pry it, I grommet broke... I guess it's time to replace it as this part has been in the car for 23 years.

BTW, can the crack in the grommet could have caused my vacuum leak?

Which grommet -- on the big can or on the hose end? I'm curious.
A leak on the brake booster hose or other parts can cause engine lean code.

Grommet should be replaced with the line. And yes crack in it can cause vacuum leak.
