    Tuning Question

I plan on having my car dyno tuned as I have some mods done (headers, exhaust, intake) Is it possible to tune to specific needs? For example, I am in NYC, and I am less interested in top speed and more interested in good low end and midrange power and drivability. Is it possible for a tuner to tune to those needs? I realize we are probably talking miniscule changes. Thanks.

Yes of course. You can also do it with hardware to a degree.

You can optimize everything, but making a tune stronger at the low end won't make it weaker at the top end, etc. The tune is either optimized at a given RPM/load, or isn't.

Cams and exhaust can favor high or low RPM power. e.g. if you're looking for low end power- stock cams and no single pipe or merge moving section 2 (and no single pipe section 2).

Is it true that stock cams will give the best low end torque around town? Curious what does going to 272/280 sacrifices?
