Asking here because I figure some of you may have had experience with this. I'm working out a deal to buy a G-body 911 3.2 from a friend. I want to finance it through my credit union. Problem is they use KBB to come up with valuations and loan amounts which is not possible for a 1980s Porsche. They said they would take a valuation from a professional appraiser.
My question: has anyone in the LA area worked with an affordable appraiser that they would recommend for this? I guess I don't actually need it to be super thorough since this is just for the purposes of getting a loan, but would be nice to get a good sense of the car's value if I have to get it appraised anyway.
