Convertible OEM Style Amplifier Mount

Posting this information for anyone that has a convertible and wants a clean OEM+ way to mount an aftermarket amplifier.

Looking on realoem I found that cars that came with factory phone/bluetooth have an additional bracket and trim panel that would work as a perfect mounting point. All E46s convertibles have the bracket mounting tabs installed.

Lastly the left trim panel on cars with phone/bluetooth is slightly shorter. You could go get the OEM piece or trim your current piece slightly to fit. I elected to trim.

Is that an Eminence Kappa woofer in there?

It’s a 10in infinity kappa. When I bought it 10yrs ago it was one of the few that is designed for infinite baffle and can run at 2ohms for more output.

It’s just shallow enough to be mounted behind the mount so you can install the interior piece
