    Transmission Fluid Temp?

SMG owner here. I know the SMG pump has a temp sensor but is there an actual transmission fluid temp sensor? If so is it available on the canbus? If not does anyone know if there is a port to attach an aftermarket one?

I could be wrong, but I doubt the trans itself has a temp sensor. Most likely not since it's still technically a manual gear box. There's no friction or hydraulics (which creates heat) involved inside the actual gear box.

The SMG gearboxes have a fluid temp sensor. It’s the 2 pin sensor right next to the 3 pin input shaft speed sensor. The reverse switch is the 2 pin switch located towards the rear of the gearbox.

SMG broadcasts over DBUS/K-Line. You'd need to find the message over K-Line that the SMG DME needs to stream those values. As far as I know, that's the only way to do it.

I had gearbox temp, hydraulic fluid temp, as well as accumulator pressure setup on my AIM.

Does AIM know how to talk to kbus directly? Or are you using a device to rebroadcast the data to canbus?

This is how I did mine:
This is a car that I have owned since 18 March 2013. I was fortunate to have purchased it long before the current crazy price hikes, where the intention was always to use it as BMW intended. So although the car is pampered and wants for nothing, it does get used on trackdays in the UK as well as at the Nurburgring (my
