Anyone know where I can source an Air Shut Off Valve?

Trying to convert my M3 to CSL DME + airbox for Car Week, however I need to find one of these and I cannot for the life of me find one new or used that will arrive within 3 weeks. I don’t want to cut my existing one as I live in CA and need to keep my original for emissions purposes. Anyone know where I could source one? Local Pick n Pull? Local Part out’s?

Correction, they’re available but for $300 from ECS. Would love save myself some money and not spend $300 to just cut a hose.

Buy a normal m3 one and modify that. Or just hack your current one and buy the spare later.

I need to keep my existing one for emissions regulations. Cutting up my original to just replace later is $250+… There has to be another way. Maybe I can find another air shut off valve from another E46 and find a match fitting connector to the other side…

at some point I needed one for a project, and got one from ebay for like 50. Also the shut-off valve is common across several E46 models, you just need the valve and you can use fuel hose for the connections as an interim solution, or buy the thermoplastic piping and form it for an OE look. so yes, as you say, there are ways. it depends what you want to do first.

Ok great, it looks like it’s possible to retrofit with finding the right ends.
