Eventuri Hybrid Airbox

Boy I was THIS close to ordering the OEM style karbonius box to use with my existing Eventuri I've had since it came out now this happens AND it comes out near my Bday. Very excited.

Same, I'm definitely holding off now. Curious how they'll end up pricing it vs. the Karb OE style though, considering the Eventuri cone isn't exactly cheap for what it is.

The sound clips in the IG video sound great. Just want to know how accurate it is. I have the Karb MAF airbox with Eventuri and it definitely doesn't sound as loud or has as much of that deep warble sound like this new eventuri box.

Yes and would like to hear difference between existing Eventuri intake vs new hybrid unit. Is the difference in sound worth the extra loot. This assumes they will continue to sell the existing part.

If the sound in the clip is accurate, the hybrid unit sounds great (both in-cabin and outside) and very similar to a traditional CSL box without the headache of MAP, tune, etc. Looking forward to pricing.

I haven't been keeping up with CA smog laws, would that box fail visual? Really it's super similar to OEM just out of carbon, using the stock MAF and DME tune. I'd think you wouldn't have a problem smogging this.

This will fail the visual side, but will pass the ODB test. This is a product i would definitely be interested in. I wouldn't want to deal with having to have 2 DME's or flash the DME every 2 years for smog.

This a cool development. I don't think this would help more with CARB compliance unless they get an EO number but the design and ability to run a MAF is interesting. TBD if it makes a substantial difference in power vs the traditional CSL style boxes.

The Karb box is OE form factor. This has an integrated MAF location and no need for an elbow.
