If you are having trouble removing it from the intake manifold, you could also reach down and disconnect it from the oil pan. It has a press connector similar to the air shut off line on the airbox.
After you remove it once from either side, it becomes much easier the second time.

Yea it was a painful one. I didn’t know it was down there when removing the old airbox so I stretched it pretty good u til I noticed the pull, then reached under to unclip and probably compromised the plastic at that point. New one I took a while to get it installed with no airbox in there and then clipped into the carbon box before putting throttle bodies to the box so it had a little bit or rear tilt to allow me to blindly get it plugged in. Pretty rough took me 30 minutes. Glad I did it though.Originally posted by BL92 View Post

Yea could be worth doing as mine was dry rotted and brittle. Apologies for the delay; here is a quick picture I snapped.
Overall, driveability is as smooth as OEM which is a huge factor for me. I had the Karb csl style airbox previously installed and ultimately had to swap it back out because I never dialed it in right for city / low RPM driving.

Hopefully this is more durable than their earlier CSL boxes. Holy crap...Evolve used some not so sturdy mountings on those.
I'd be scared of any place that has a fastener glued in. If the part requires internal threads then a knurled insert should be molded into the part. This also makes part production much harder and more costly - even with prepreg.
I think the trumpet mounting makes a lot of sense.
