Hey all, finding myself in a bit of a bind and wanted to see if I might be able to get a little community help.
I'm driving from Los Angeles down to San Diego this weekend to do rod bearings -- has to happen this weekend as I'm using my friend's driveway and this is the weekend that works for him. I had arranged to purchase a used 1/2" drive techangle wrench on ebay and have it shipped so that it reaches me by this weekend. Unfortunately the seller has cancelled my purchase and it seems like it will be difficult to get an alternate one shipped to reach me in time.
I would like to ask if anyone in LA area, SD area, or somewhere in between, has a techangle (or equivalent) that they would be willing to rent me for the weekend? Would be very happy to pay whatever you think is appropriate (I get that it's a very valuable piece and happy to compensate to mitigate risk, and also reflect the fact that this would save me from spending $500 to buy one) and take responsibility for anything that may happen to it. That said I would also promise to treat the wrench with utmost dignity and care. I would be happy to come to you and pick it up this week and return it to you the next.
