    Tool for installing monoball rtabs

So, I'm looking at doing my RTABs and replacing them with monoballs while I'm there.

FCP has a DIY (https://www.fcpeuro.com/blog/how-to-...83-e85-and-e86), where they recommend this tool for removing the old rubber RTABs, but then insist that you should use this tool kit to install the monoballs because the other tool would be pushing in the monoballs in by the joints which would be bad.

Is there a good alternative to that bushing tool set for pressing in the monoballs? I would like to do the job earlier than that set can get to me, also, I don't need a whole bushing press set right now. Also is that first tool the right one for pressing out the rubber ones? Thanks for any advice!

I just did this job with the ball joint press tool rental from the local parts store. You want to avoid pressing on the center bearing area.

edit: I had the whole rear subframe dropped when I did the job. I think there should still be enough clearance for the big c-clamp but you'll have to double check.

Okay, good to know it can be done with a generic tool. Thank you!!
