    Fuel line preventative maintenance

I've seen a couple threads in the past year on e46 catching fire on track due to burst fuel line (ex. this reddit thread). Should we be replacing these lines preventatively? I have inspected mine and don't see any cracks, but they are 20 years old.

Presuming the answer is yes, does this look like the comprehensive list of pressurized fuel lines containing rubber parts?
    • Fuel supply line front 16122229410
    • Fuel supply line rear 16122229409
    • Fuel return line 16122229411
    • Fuel pipes set 16112283288
Any tips to save time/money? Is there any way to replace just the rubber parts of these lines? Anyone done this without dropping the fuel tank (and therefore the rear subframe)?

I replaced all mine because they are still available now and I don’t know for how much longer.

I think a good hydraulics shop should be able to crimp new hose onto the hard lines.

Yeah the only time i would replace the first three is if someone did a braided hose or more longer lasting solution....

otherwise only if any of them were to go bad.
