    If you want carbon ceramics, the F8X CCM system is probably as bolt-on as the F8X blue calipers.

    For those with a squeak, Porsche has this TSB out right now about it. Basically the pad is unevenly mating with the rotor surface due to lack of pressure. Maybe when things heat up, the surfaces change directions just enough to cause that low speed squeal. The Macans are all having this problem so it was cool to read the explanation. Their problem happens when a light layer of pad builds up and cause uneven mating. According to Porsche, this is normal operation. One hard brake fixes it.

    The weights are on the pads to help dampen oscillations during hard braking. Low speed pad dragging is a different story though. Through hard braking, everything is vibrating hard they have really done well with controlling the vibrations. The PCCBs are part of that solution. THAT is a kit I'd love to see on an E46 M3.

    I created the logos in Illustrator and then custom cut vinyl stencils for masking. Then I painted the logos on with Rustoleum Caliper Paint.

    I had this issue on the rears, I retrofitted the red backing plate from a set of ceramic brembo pads I had and the noise went away. I no longer have any noise at any speed at any temperature

    Meh. This thread is for the DIY and those who choose not to overpay. We respected your thread by not posting within it. But this thread here is for those who are a bit more savvy and willing to do the legwork or educate those who might go that route. To each their own.

    for me, a dollar saved is a dollar earned. Those within my social circle with an E46 I point them through the process while spending half of that asking price.
