I recently purchased the turner e46 M3 expansion tank for my 2003 M3 convertible. My original was leaking around the seam of the tank. Their tank is on sale right now so, I figured for a little bit more $ I could upgrade to their aluminum offering. The quality of the tank and fitment is spot on, and I liked that it has a level sensor and is black vs the moroso which requires modification. Here is the problem, the threads on the new tank are a different pitch then the threads on the new sensor that is included with the tank (2.0 on tank and 1.5 on sensor). I am currently waiting to hear back from ECS about this issue. I wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone else has bought this tank kit(4876067) and run into this issue.

Yes, in fact. I just spoke with them earlier today. Apparently, it's an issue they are aware of. They are currently working on a fix. From what I was told, they are making a replacement aluminum nut for the sensor that will fit the current batch of tank kits and that it should be available mid-September 2025. I would recommend anyone who has one of these to contact them so you can get the proper nut. On the next batch of tanks they have manufactured, the tank will have the appropriate thread to match the sensors. I will post more pictures when I receive the replacement nut if I decide to keep this tank vs wait for the v2 kit. As a side note to anyone who is interested in this tank, I wouldn't let this issue deture you from purchasing one of these tanks. The quality of this tank is spot on and I would argue that this tank is nicer then the moroso (Ill try to post some comparison pictures between the two next week as I have a moroso tank as well). The different thread will just mean you will have to reuse the nut if you ever need to replace the sensor.

Nice. I got the Moroso and was actually one of the first (at least that I know of on this message board) to get the Moroso sensor and install / prove that all worked... This was before this option was available... Even with all the issues I've had with ECS I think I'd still prefer this as having to weld in the sensor bung and wire in the sensor was lame vs plug and play... And now it means I don't have the connector to go back to this Turner option easily if I break the Moroso tank somehow, although I guess the point is that it should be a life part (just sensor and lid replacements).
All that said, as annoying as it was to put the sensor in myself it did mean I could set it's sensitivity... So I have mine up higher so it sets off as soon as the level gets below the Moroso sight glass level.
