It’s been a few years since I’ve actually been logged in, but I’m lurking a few times a month to stay in the loop. I just surpassed 160k (about 50k over the last 11years are mine) on the M3 this past weekend. Things I’ve done recently are this season I freshened up the brakes in all 4 corners and front and rear wind screen seals. I did the B to C pillar trim last year. Put new relays in the GM5 last year. Going to try and refresh the interior maybe this winter while it’s in storage (I’m from Iowa). I seen the material for headliner is hard to get or NLA. I’ll just use something close. I think a few guys found some Porsche material a pretty close to original.
Anyways figured I’d pop in since I see this thread on occasion.

Life happened. We all love the E46 M3 but there are bigger and more important things in life and very few can sustain the car enthusiast life and make enough time for everything else. If you are one of the few who can, consider yourself lucky. I'll speak for myself at least... since I became a father, this hobby has changed completely and the amount of time I have for it is a small fraction of what it used to be.Last edited by PetrolM3; 10-10-2024, 07:33 AM.

Life in general has become more consuming as I've gotten older. Work, family, travel, etc.
I mainly browse and post on occasion. I suspect my days of creating detailed DIYs are over as time is limited these days. Still enjoy logging in and seeing familiar members from the M3Forum era.

Sold my M3 last year due to starting medical school... hoping to one day save up and get another one when I have the money for it in a few years. Been on the OG M3Forum since 2013, but I honestly didn't miss the old forum too much after seeing more and more people pop up here. Sad but will be back soon with another M, maybe just not an E46 M3 until I have a 4 car garage lol.2002 BMW M3 Coupe Jet Black/Black (sold)
2021 Tesla Model 3 SR+ Deep Blue Metallic/White (hopefully gone soon)

The last time I was active on the old forum the first Apex ARC8 group buy had just happened. Shortly after my M3 went to live with my father out of state and I had a string of vintage Audi's and modern VW's. 13 years later and the M3 is back in my hands. Instead of trying to modify the car, now it's a journey of getting the car back to stock.
