Been driving my car a lot this month trying to get through 1200 mile breakin on fresh rod bearings so I can send oil sample off to Blackstone.
Car has a Karbonius CSL airbox with full MAP conversion running an HP DME from Kassel, dyno tuned by Hasan.
Finally got my 1200 miles in, car mostly drove well but felt not great at times, could feel misfires at lower RPM, I think.
No EML or check engine light, but pulled codes with Schwaben tool and saw:
8C - DME: Knock control deactivated / knock protection
6A - DME: Signal, brake-light switch
DF - DME: Intake-manifold pressure
9C - DME: Saving adaptation values not possible
I've seen DF come up a few times in the last few months, so I was guessing that I maybe need a new MAP sensor. But the 8C and 9C codes seem pretty concerning? Anyone ever had these and have anecdotes about what was happening?
Cleared codes and they haven't come back yet.
I recently swapped out my broken DME e-box fan with a new one. I'm feeling a little worried that perhaps the time I spent driving the car in my hot climate (SoCal) without an operational e-box fan cooked my DME? Is there anyway to have the DME comprehensively tested to confirm/rule this out?
Alternately, any chance that parameters of my tune may have caused these and it's worth bothering my tuner about it?
Thanks for any insight or suggestions!
