Wiper Blade Guide

I got new wipers (Bosch Aerotwin style) and have this issue where the drivers side misses a part of the windshield.

I was going to get some new ones to verify if it was an issue with the wipers but came across this info on FCPEuro:
When switching to the evo flat blade wipers you must remove the wiper arm wiper blade guide, p/n 61618263685 from the drivers side wiper arm.

I found that part, but cannot work out how to remove it... or does it even need to be removed?

I'm guessing everyone has already removed their wiper blade guide by now, hence no response.

In any case, it was simple matter of yanking it off with some small needle nose pliers, and now the drivers side wiper runs smoothly along the glass... no more chatter!
