How is this even possible. My poly diff bushings are completely toast after just a few thousand miles. The bolts are still tight but BOTH failed completely.what should I replace them with…
Wow the cover is $500 now, it was $237 1.5 years ago when I switched from poly to OE.
Yeah I was being cheap I remember it was $180 when I wanted it…
Anyways. HOW TF DO POLY BUSHINGS FAIL LIKE THIS… car is always garaged. These bushings are 5-10k miles and 4 years old.
I am so pissed off beyond belief right now spent the last 2 weeks getting the car together and just picked it up from the tire shop to hear my f'ing diff/driveshaft contact the body as I'm pulling back into my driveway. Thought this was a lifetime product… f u polyflex
That sucks dude, I have had poly FCABs fail/crack twice, now I have OE. My diff bushing were changed to poly when I had my subframe done and they made the diff whine and sound like shit but didn't fail, I changed all 3 after 6k miles back to OE. I feel your pain man I am done with anything poly.
$713 that is an insane price I would never pay that, FCP is $581 and that's crazy too. Feb 2024 I paid $237 and was annoyed it was not in the $100's anymore lol, pricing is getting out of control. Looks like e36 bushings are the only cost effective option now.
I had similar results with another reputable brand known for making all products in-house (USA). Bushing entirely failed on one side (1 month after install) and diff literally was resting on rear sway. Ruined my track day and had to leave the car for few days till I could come back with a trailer. Not wanting to ever deal with that again, I went with solid mounts from BW and it’s been trouble free ever since. My subframe bushings are still oe rubber so very little vibration or harshness from the diff, just head a mild diff whine which I’ve come to appreciate lol.
I really hope my rear CV joint didn't get damaged during the failure of my shittyflex bushings. It's binding a little bit at the extremities when I turn it by hand. Should it not bind? not even a little bit?
