LED Brake Light Intermittently not working

    06. LED brake lights. Turn signal works with no issue. Brake light occasionally does not. I’ve pulled interior trunk/cargo light cover, shake some wires and seams to come back life. Anyone have similar experience? Issue is only on passenger side.

You either have a short, or a stray worn grounding wire. Work one wire at a time.

After inspecting closer, it seems like the connection from the harness to the taillight is where the issue is. I can manipulate/play/move connection slightly and brake lights will work. How do I find which wire of the 7 choices is the brake like?

Get a multimeter, Ground the negative lead. Put someone in the car to brake. Do a pin probe of each as the brake pedal is pushed to see which one goes 12V hot.

Followed the instructions above. Found the brake light 12v hot. Thanks much Estoril !! So that means the problem is in the harness connection to light or light itself. Down stream so to speak…. I’m assuming.

Found this diagram/photo from an older thread so this confirms the brake light power source pin.
