Is there something wrong with yours? Maybe just soaking it in 303 will make it look newish. Or maybe a light hand polish will bring back dark luster...

Looks pretty close to mine. Ha. Also I'd have to pay tarrifs. Not a lot obviously but I've paid enough already so trying to if I don't have to.Originally posted by Tbonem3 View Post

Here you go. There are others too. Unless you only want new, then ya, it's backordered similarly like the cowl.Originally posted by Kipjames3 View Post
Can you ask also if he has any updates on the cabin air filter cover 64318363423? I'm assuming it's the same status of the cowls.

There is a long running thread regarding this part over on the M3Cutters forum in the UK (RHD variants)
I make the point at the end of every month to bump the thread and ask the representative from the BMW Parts Department to update us on the availability.
At the point of time end of January 2026 when I asked, they informed us that BMW had added a note regarding the part and the issues faced with a supplier. I also asked them a few days ago and still the same status; Back Order, no ETA but NOT NLA

So, I guess since they are not NLA and are on backorder, maybe they will pop up eventually?

Doesn’t really apply to this part, but we probably should start scanning and creating a database of OE parts, before there’s no new ones left to scan.

This has happened a few times as documented in this thread I believe. FCP says they are in stock, when they actually aren't.
I asked my dealer this morning and they show 0 availability, but the price is updated so maybe its coming?

Hilarious.
BMW parts are now like a limited time collector's edition toy that everybody runs and and gobbles up before Christmas time lol
Yesterday, the Dodgers were giving away Yoshi bobblehead toys. My wife called it, they sold out at 40k units (before the gave even started; 56k attendance at the game). She checked ebay right after the game started and people were listing the toy for $175
Take my advice, spray 303 aerospace on all your plastic/rubber parts weekly!

I don’t know about you guys but on my E46s the plastic cowl body is fine. It’s just that small strip of rubber incorporated into the cowl that flexes against the glass that wears and cracks. Some people have used some 3M rubber trim to replace just this section. But it looks too bulky for me.Originally posted by Nate047 View PostAlright soooooo who's going to 3D scan and print one
So my question is has anyone come up with a replacement/fix that rubber strip that wears out? And if anyone makes that rubber trim they’d be finding a fix most only need
And yes I know the whole cowl piece is just cosmetic and doesn’t causes leaks to windshield.

Which one did you buy off Amazon?Originally posted by YYZ-M3 View PostI purchased from Amazon but I'm sure they're all from the same supplier. The quality is average/acceptable in my opinion. And at $300+ for an OEM replacement (assuming they ever produce another batch), I'll live with this at under $100. It pairs nicely with my FUBAR (I mean FUYAO) windshield!
