    Meed dorection: Brake pad purchase

    Hey Everyone,

So I i have a ZCP with the opm drilled rotors. I purchase a used set of Rotora front calipers and brackets. Amazingly, ive been driving on them since 2016 and im finally ready for new pads (they still have about 35% life).

Ive gotten new rotors and would love to get some insight on new pads for aggressive street driving, mountain runs, and a once a year autocross event. I figured out that the pad that came with the kit are the Hawk HB105.620 (HPS). They've been great, but the orange brake dust and inner rotor rust ring are annoying.

The dimension of the pads are below, whats the recommended pad? Is there anything that is 8mm taller (55mm) that can sweep the whole rotors? I was thinking about Yellowstuff, but wanted to get some feedback.

    TIA!!!

Hawk HPS are "okay" (not better than that) until they reach MOT. Then braking efficiency falls off a cliff. HP+ the same.

      So what would you recommend?

Given there is no track usage, I would stay with OE. They grip cold and hot, with predictable linear performance. I ran OE pads on VIR, WGI, NJMP etc without drama in my early days. They won't give up on the street use you list.

I have a Rotora front... im not sure what the OE brand pad would be and if they are in my particular size. The size is for BBKs (Alcon Type, Brembo, Willwood, AP).

I use the OE organic brake pad for what you're describing. They make dust but I'd rather not have to warm my brakes on a daily driver.

Rotora has a guide for their brake pads.
