    Koni yellows and ride height

I had Koni yellows, and new bump stops installed today. The ride height is noticeably higher. It is also higher on the front left than front right. Is that normal? Is there a chance that shocks will settle or this simply my new ride hight? I already drove the car for about 70 miles. Car is also on h&r sport springs.

    Thanks.

Shocks don't settle. What's holding up your car are the springs. So if the springs haven't changed, then it could just be the "re-seating" of things (esp if you got new rubber pads). The rubber will compress. Things might just slightly drop.

I wonder if mis-clocked bushings would affect ride height, prob not. Or other components? Gas pressurized bilsteins have been known to raise height slightly, but not Konis.

Or perhaps your car is so heavy and/or the springs so weak, you were on your bump stops already and as such, taller/stiffer bumpstops actually raised your static height.

I’ve read online that the H&R sport springs will sit with the drivers side slightly higher than the passenger side. Anyone know if there is any truth to this? I certainly see a that the left front wheel gap is more than the right front. Or is there something wrong?

It's normal for the vehicle to sit higher on the driver's side, this is to account for passenger weight.

How this is accomplished is unknown to me, it must be the chassis and not suspension components.

I’ve heard this as well. I’m curious if anyone else with lowering springs have experienced this?

I'm lower than stock on Koni Yellows and Eibach with GC street plates.

Oh that’s interesting. So your car also sits higher on the left side?

I have even more of a discrepancy with L/R height and my camber plates end up in wildly different locations when both are roughly set to -1.5°.

So....I did this, found nothing and fucked the threads on a tie rod end and ripped a boot on a control arm, at least I already have those parts.

All my free time has been going to this, should just accept it rode fine before with the same issues and left that shit alone, might as well do the R.B's at this point.

Yes it should by design to account for the weight of driver

I have Koni yellows and H&R sport springs so will chime in here. Fronts are about a 2 finger gap and the rear is a little smaller at about 1.5-1.75 finger gap.

Reduce the image size slightly (I do 80%) and it will upload in the correct orientation.

Do you find that the front left is a bit higher than the front right?

BTW Love your clean AW OEM+ example.

Just measured and both fronts are sitting at the same height.

And thanks, it’s been 10 years of dialing it in!

MotorSportThree Overall ride height should be noticeably lower than stock with H&R sport springs. Personally I think it's the perfect ride height. I also have 15mm front and 10mm rear spacers to help with the stance. I will say this setup can bottom out from time to time but overall pretty compliant. If I had do it over I'd go with Ohlins R&T. Maybe bump stops were installed incorrectly?
