DO88 performance oc-150 oil cooler - anyone try this?

My car has a beat up OE cooler, on track I usually see around 250 deg F. Thinking about replacing, OE not available. Any reviews on the DO88?

    They're a high end brand, I'm sure it's good.

Otherwise I've always had good luck with Setrab.

You will not find an oil cooler that offers the combination of durability, performance, and flow of the Setrab Oil Cooler at any price. It is this combination that has allowed Setrab to remain the choice of top teams and builders across all venues of motorsport. To assist in the process of selecting a cooler that is

I have a brand new DO-88 cooler still in the box if you’re interested.

Yeah they claim higher cooling effectiveness, my on track Oil temps are at the right three-quarter mark now. Therefore was debating a new stock oil cooler to bring the temps down. Additional cooling efficiency would be a plus.

250F oil temps would not worry me one bit. I wouldn't upgrade. Only if oil temps exceed 275F is when I would consider an upgrade to get them down.

            Maybe this?

EDIT: Not sure why I cannot get the link to the exact product to work - its the first listing in the bar and plate oil cooler section.
Explore Fluidyne's 30816-24 single pass bar plate oil cooler, ideal for automotive applications requiring efficient oil cooling in a compact design.

So i just recently switched back to the factory oil cooler. The reason being is that all these race oil coolers cause heat soak in our conditions in the middle east.

These bigger oil coolers were designed to work efficiently when the car is moving and not when stuck in traffic where the outside temps are 110-125f (real feel 130f plus) and high humidity.

I noticed that the bigger oil cooler was not doing its job with the situations i found myself in and the oil temps were higher than stock cooler in this kind of traffic/driving situation.

the Fluidline looks a bit better but I would love for someone to make a cooler thats just under 50% more efficient than the stock one for really really extreme heat conditions like ours..... This way it wont heat soak in traffic.

I've been using the DO88 for 2 years. The oil cooler works, I'm getting lower oil temperatures. No complaints, easy installation, recommended.

Hrmmmm, I'm on the fence on upgrading my OEM oil cooler and listening to 0-60motorsports makes sense, especially since the cars in California and traffic is hit or miss up North here. I'm ripping off the whole front end so it's one of the modifications I'll do while I'm in there. If I'm looking at the street version of the Do88, is upgrading the oil lines over OEM considered overkill on our platform if not doing heavy tracking?

No you dont need to upgrade the lines. When i used to take my car to the F1 track in Bahrain i never touched the lines.

DO88 is a plug and play upgrade. "Upgrading" the lines would make zero sense as you would need an adapter to go back to stock size on the cooler and the filter housing...

Since the OEM lines don't fail, there's also little reason to change.
