Turner - Top-Side Rear Subframe Reinforcement Kit - Extend Bolts HELP

    Hi!

    I ordered this Top-Side Rear Subframe Reinforcement Kit - E46 M3, E46

I got everything in but i THINK and FEEL that the extended subframe bolts are not correctly installed even though They are screwed in. The flat part of the bolt theoretically should be to the big subframe washer, but I can't get it to go anymore. On the top side that goes into the trunk - i get 0.9 inches of thread that show into the trunk and feel that is decent?

    I think two options:

    1. Get a bigger washer to fill the gap (current washer hits the conical part)
    2. Unscrew it and drill the big washer a little to fit the conical portion?

Please see pics are it currently sits.

I've reached out to turner as well, but wanted to get any thoughts here.

    Thank you!!

    Bro...

You can not have that gap. Maybe the bolts are too long (weird tho, why supply them?) or maybe there's not enough threaded area - is the nut running out of threads?

I would throw in a washer if you were like 1/8" away from being flush but you're like an inch away.

Picture from the top side (of the threads/nut)?

I installed a very similar brace in my car if you want to check my photos/description in my journal thread (link is in my signature below - it would be one of the later pages).

I think I even did mention reaming out the conical washer (big metal plate - stock BMW part).

The nuts on the top side have plenty of space. Almost 1 inch sticking through the drilled holes. I’ll check out your journal. Thanks!

I was able to take out the long bolt. Will widen the washer to fit. Thank you! Feels good!
