Recaro ABE seat install - a couple of questions

I just finished an install of Recaro ABEs, looking for some help with a couple things related to power seats:

    - what is the part number of the E30 non-illuminated power seat switch, all I can find is the illuminated one
    - where do you get the little bracket that bolts onto the side of the seat rails in which the switch sits?
    - does anyone know of a good DIY in general for all of this wiring?

realoem.com, is a great way to find part numbers.

I think the un-illuminated switches are a much better idea for this, as the seat wiring is always powered. These would've came in any 1982-1985 BMW in the USA would have these switches. They bolt in and require no modifications, unlike the one they specify. Generally they are harder to find in good condition as the labeling can fade unlike the illuminated switches. Looks like they're available new. However, they are interchangeable functionally sans backlight. A lot of E28 guys back in the day would update older cars with the later switches, so backdating or facelifting is plug and play.

That bracket you are looking for would've came with your rails, so if it's already missing probably have to get with Brey Krause directly and get that bracket. Someone on here might have a spare who went with the manual style version of their brackets.

I have a video here, not a step by step DIY. It is a video I took for my own notes if I have to service any of it. I used the worst crimps, but cut up an OE engine harness, so I had the same color and gauge of wire for diagnosing anything later. Although I need to redo it all and wrap the harness for presentation, it has been great functionally. I discuss about the switches and the wiring at a high level here. It wasn't difficult. https://youtu.be/D3bDXSGjlAw?t=467

There are more wiring tidbits throughout the video.

If you can find better deal on the illuminated switch you can just remove the bulb

Question, I assume the power seats switch is for the motor to move the seat back and forward? How much does that motor setup weight? Isn't the point of Pole Position's to maximize weight reduction?
